Navigating adhd: Resources for parents
Welcome to the ADHD Resources page at Alone but Advocating. Here, I share insights and resources gathered from my personal journey with my son who has ADHD. My goal is to provide you with information and perspectives to help you make the best decisions for your neurodivergent child.

Books that have shaped my understanding
In my journey, I have read many books. Some are on the topic of ADHD, and others are just on the topic of raising a boy. I want to share my candidate opinions on the books I have read.

A message to all parents (and especially single parents)
This page is for all parents of neurodivergent kids. If you're a single parent, I want to acknowledge the unique challenges you face. The uncertainties of raising a child with ADHD can be daunting, and facing them alone can amplify your fears. Know that your frustrations are valid, and you're not alone in this journey.

The spectrum of adhd and the importance of personalized strategies
I haven't found one single, definitive source of information that completely encompass the uniqueness of my boy and the challenges he faces. ADHD presents differently in every child, influenced by personality, genetics, and the presence of other disabilities. What works for one child may not work for another. I encourage you to embrace a trial-and-error approach, tailoring strategies to your child's unique needs. What I share on this blog will simply be my own personal experiences.
