About me
Welcome to my journey, "Alone but Advocating." I'm here to share candid feelings and emotions in my journey of raising my boy with ADHD. This blog is a testament to what an ordinary mother does to uplift her child, raise awareness of neurodivergent children, and challenge societal boundaries. Join me as I navigate this path and advocate for a more inclusive world.

The biggest challenge
As a single parent raising a child with ADHD, every challenge feels significant. If I have to pick, one of toughest challenge for me is to view ADHD through the lens of positivity. Despite the statement that "ADHD can be a super power!" I certainly don't feel like I can say this about ADHD everyday. One of the most transformative things that happened to me in this journey is that I no longer view the world through the neurotypical lens. Somehow, my boy has taught me to see beauty where I was not seeing, and come up with solutions that are outside of the box. This journey despite being rocky at times, has really reshaped how I perceive the world and my child's unique gifts.

A safe space
I aspire to create a safe space where parents of neurodivergent children feel comfortable to express their emotions openly. I want to empower the parents to advocate for their children. I want to personally use this journey as an opportunity to educate the world about the unique needs of these children, and hold society accountable for creating equal opportunities for these children. Together, we can foster understanding and acceptance, and uplift every one of these children, and give them the best chance to use their gifts in this world.

My mission
My mission is to share the realities of raising a child with ADHD, offering insights, support, and practical advice. I want to empower parents to advocate effectively for their children and navigate the challenges with confidence. Through open dialogue and shared experiences, we can build a strong community that celebrates neurodiversity and fosters inclusion. Connect with me and let's advocate together.
"Alone but advocating" is a testimony of what an ordinary mother would do to uplift her boy, to raise awareness of neurodivergent children, and to advocate on behalf of these children.
